European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Women in Business Program in Central Asia. "Davr Bank" supports for women's entrepreneurship.
Support for women, and women entrepreneurs in particular, is widely supported by the public in Uzbekistan. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) together with German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation, IPC – International Project Consult and Davr Bank are launching a comprehensive program in Uzbekistan “Women in Business” in Central Asia.
As part of this program, on May 11, 2022, a seminar was held on the topic “Women Entrepreneurs”.
At the event, Davr Bank and the EBRD's Advisory Service for Small Business presented opportunities to support women in business and the prospects for using the offer in the future. During the seminar, issues of the policy of the Central Bank to support women entrepreneurs, consultations for small businesses: know-how, financial products and non-financial services within the framework of this Program were considered, and a master class "Marketing in social networks to promote business" was also organized.
The EBRD financing program is being implemented through Davr Bank, which was one of the first banks in Uzbekistan and Central Asia to join the EBRD's Women in Business initiative. This program encourages women's entrepreneurship and participation in business by helping them access finance, know-how and technical advice. The project aims to increase financial literacy and improve entrepreneurship.
